Sampling:

How soon can sampling start?

Depending on type of sampling, RDH can sample within 1-2 days of request

When can I get my Lab results?

Normal lab turn-around time is 10-14 days.  Results can be rushed on certain parameters

What are my result limits?

Result limits are based on the Facility’s Permit, please contact RDH for further assistance.

How will I know if my result is in violation of my Permit?

RDH’s system prepares and sends notification to client within 24-hours, including letter of violation and lab report to be forwarded onto Regulatory Agency. RDH also will work with client on resample and/or any other required samplings due to violation.

Is RDH a Lab?

No, we perform all field task and documentation including COC and use local, State Certified labs for the analysis.

Flow Monitoring:

Where is a good location to monitor my flow?

Collection System manholes with straight through pipe with no laterals or drop features and consider traffic control for entry into manhole

Fix flow devises such as existing flumes, weirs, open pipe, channels with a fixed configuration

Full pipe flows with exposed straight pipe with a length of 30 times the pipe diameter

How soon can flow monitoring start?

Within two weeks for 4 sites or less.  Traffic Control may effect timeline.

Five or more sites will require a recon visit for conformation of monitoring sites and traffic control planning with city to determine when monitoring can start.

When can I get my flow data?

Three to Five days after completion of flow period. Or if choose remote monitoring capabilties, results will be available online daily.

Can I see flow data online?

Yes, with remote monitoring you can see data updated multiple times per day and/or real time data depending on the type of monitoring system and available settings.

Compliance:

Why am I regulated?

Your facility has process that fall into Federal and/or local categories and/or discharges that requiring compliance monitoring.

Why do I have to sample?

This would be a requirement of your wastewater discharge permit

What are my Wastewater limits?

Limits are set by the Federal and/or local standards based on the processes at a facility and/or discharge. Limits will be defined in your wastewater discharge permit

What happens if I don’t Comply?

Your permit outlines the legal penalties and actions of enforcement. 

What if I am late reporting?

Your permit outlines the possible legal penalties and actions of enforcement. 

What is a Zero Discharge permit?

Permit to operate your process provided there is no discharge to the sewer or land.

What are the pH limits?

In most cases there is a high and low limit, your permit outlines those limits

How do I treat pH?

In most cases with a chemical of the opposing pH, please contact us for assistance

Service:

Can RDH troubleshoot my system?

We can review your system functions and equipment operations and give assessments and/or recommendations.

Can RDH help me treat my wastewater?

We can review your system functions and equipment operations and give assessments and/or recommendations.

Can RDH offer remote monitoring of my existing system and set to operate valves or other equipment?

Yes, in most cases provided your equipment has a 4-20 mA signal, or digital signal output or a connection to a Modbus. Regarding a valve or other equipment, we can if there are relays and/or can install relays. We would need to review your application and equipment to confirm remote monitoring capabilities.

Does RDH perform preventative maintenance on systems?

Yes for pH neutralization and flow application including rebuilding and replacement of chemical feed pumps, pH probes, preamp, meters, mixers, flow sensor and meters.

What equipment does RDH sell?

RDH sells multiple types and manfuactres of flow monitoring equipment, including pH meter and probes. All equipment for complete Neutralization system and flumes. 

Reporting and Consulting:

Can RDH complete me Compliance Reports for me?

In most cases we can with a copy of your permit and adequate time to respond.

Can RDH perform sampling and reporting?

Can RDH consult/troubleshoot my system?

We can review your system functions and equipment operations and give assessments and recommendations.

Can I use GCS as a tool to manage my own sampling, maintenance and reporting?
